Federal Building - Winter Haven, Florida

98 3rd Street SW - This building is now the home to the US Department Of Agriculture but it was originally a US Post Office. The vintage postcard below shows it in its previous incarnation. Unfortunately this is not a postcard from my collection, but one I found online. The building still seems to be in very good shape (at least on the exterior) with very little alteration.

U.S. Post Office - Marietta, Georgia

257 Lawrence Street - I'm guessing this building was built in the late 50's or early 60's. The original post office became the public library in the early 60's and is now an art museum. Obviously the best feature of this structure is its great zigzag roofline.

Cobb County Offices - Marietta, Georgia

191 Lawrence Street - I love the front of this office building. The rest is only so so but the front is very interesting. I couldn't find any information on this structure but I would guess it was built in the late 50's or 60's. It now houses Cobb County government offices.

Bullock's Wilshire / Southwestern Law School - Los Angeles California

3050 Wilshire Boulevard - The beautiful Bullock's Wilshire department store opened in 1929 and was designed by John & Donald Parkinson. The building is made of steel reinforced concrete, terra cotta, and copper. Bullock's closed in the early 90's and the building was restored and is now occupied by Southwestern Law School.

Tift Theatre - Tifton, Georgia

318 South Main Street - I was very surprised to happen across this gem (and several others, acutally) in Tifton. The theatre opened in 1937. Hopefully one day I can make it back at night with the marquee lit.
